Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Plainsmen vs. Prairie Falcons

The Evergreen Plainsmen will venture away from home to face off against the Prairie Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evergreen knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Prairie likes a good challenge.

Evergreen will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Kelso, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Evergreen was the clear victor by a 74-51 margin over Kelso on Friday. The Plainsmen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Prairie came up short against Mountain View on Friday and fell 66-53. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now lost three in a row.

Evergreen's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Evergreen beat Prairie 64-57 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Does Evergreen have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prairie turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
