Softball Recap: Appalachian Takes a Loss

Appalachian and Skyline squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Appalachian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Appalachian's loss dropped their record down to 25-12-4. As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-33 record this season.

As of now, neither Appalachian nor Skyline have any future games scheduled.
