After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North White, Culver Community was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lakeland Christian Academy Cougars. The Cavaliers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-21, 25-13.

Sophie Grossman-Norris paced Culver Community's offense, picking up seven kills. Grossman-Norris really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with eight. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ashlynn Berndt, each putting up four.

Culver Community is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.

Coming up, Culver Community will host Elkhart Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Bremen on the 29th.
