Soccer Game Preview: Union Grove vs. The Prairie School

The Union Grove Broncos will head out on the road to take on The Prairie School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Union Grove comes in on three and The Prairie School on four.

Union Grove will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Elkhorn, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Broncos walked away with a 3-1 win over the Elks on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, The Prairie School kept a clean sheet against Shoreland Lutheran on Monday. They beat the Pacers by a goal, winning 1-0. Give The Prairie School's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Roy Rivera, who's now up to 15 this season.

The Prairie School's victory bumped their record up to 11-2-1. As for Union Grove, their win bumped their record up to 12-2-1.

Union Grove beat The Prairie School by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
