Softball Recap: Haverling Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Haverling came out on top against Livonia on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Rams blew past the Bulldogs 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Caydence Spears was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Makayla Smith was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Haverling kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Haverling's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Livonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.

Coming up, Haverling will be playing in front of their home fans against Waterloo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. Livonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
