Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Athens Bible). They walked away with a 64-57 victory over the Elkmont Red Devils on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Elkmont's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mollie Slaton, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 19 points, and Ester Marcial, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points and three steals. Those 19 points gave Slaton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Williams, who posted four points and ten rebounds.

Athens Bible is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Elkmont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

Athens Bible didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-29 win against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy on the 3rd. As for Elkmont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-40 victory against Brindlee Mountain on the 3rd.
