Barren County is 8-2 against Franklin-Simpson since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Barren County will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin-Simpson at 6:00 p.m. Barren County has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Friday, Barren County came up short against Assumption and fell 11-6. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Norah Shirley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitie Elmore, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Barren County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post two or more strikeouts.

Meanwhile, Franklin-Simpson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-4 to Warren East.

Franklin-Simpson saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Ferguson, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Franklin-Simpson's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Barren County, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything went Barren County's way against Franklin-Simpson in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Barren County made off with an 11-1 victory. Does Barren County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Franklin-Simpson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
