Baseball Recap: Tintic Wins Going Away Against Pinnacle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Tintic walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Pinnacle Panthers on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won six matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Braylon Jones was excellent, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Tintic is undefeated when Jones posts three or more RBI, but 4-10 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayze Mason, who went 1-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double.

Tintic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Tintic's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Pinnacle, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

As of now, neither Tintic nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
