Spanish Fort dropped their record down to 39-11 on Thursday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Rehobeth Rebels by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Mallarie Beagle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Haley Hart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

As for Rehobeth, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-17-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.

On Rehobeth's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessa Buker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run. Those three hits gave Buker a new career-high.

Spanish Fort has already played their next game (against Saraland), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rehobeth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
