Basketball Recap: Beddingfield Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beddingfield hadn't done well against Greene Central recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Beddingfield Bruins walked away with a 58-51 victory over the Greene Central Rams. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Beddingfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Darrian Jones out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Those 22 points gave Jones a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamauris Howard, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

Despite the loss, Greene Central still got an impressive performance from Dontrez Evans, who went 8 of 19 on his way to 21 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Mike Suggs, who had five points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Beddingfield's record now sits at 3-4. As for Greene Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beddingfield will head out to challenge Fike at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fike is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 80 points per game this season. As for Greene Central, they will venture away from home to square off against North Pitt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
