Basketball Game Preview: Royal Highlanders vs. Simi Valley Pioneers

Royal is 0-10 against Simi Valley since February of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Royal Highlanders will take on the Simi Valley Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. Simi Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Royal, who comes in off a win.

Royal is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Moorpark 77-46 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Highlanders have posted since December 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, Simi Valley came up short against Camarillo on Friday, falling 62-38. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Scorpions recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Simi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Royal, their win bumped their record up to 13-14.

Royal lost to Simi Valley on the road by a decisive 62-45 margin in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Royal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
