Basketball Recap: Medina Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Medina Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 82-32 loss at the hands of the Keystone Wildcats. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-20.

Keystone's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liam Goran, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Goran has posted since back in March of 2024. Zach Shackelfod was another key player, going 8 of 12 en route to 18 points and six steals.

Medina Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Keystone, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina Christian Academy will square off against Black River at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Keystone, they will challenge North Olmsted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keystone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.9 points per game this season.
