Football Game Recap: Newcomb vs. Capitan

After flying high against Thoreau last week, Newcomb came back down to earth. It was close but no cigar for Newcomb as they fell 32-30 to Capitan on Saturday. The Skyhawks were up 14 to nothing at the end of the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Newcomb's loss pushes them down to 7-4. The win (their third in a row) raised Capitan's record to 4-6.

The Skyhawks do not have any more games currently scheduled. As for the Tigers, they will face off against Texico at 7 p.m. ET next week. Texico is also hoping to continue their momentum after a victory the last time the two teams met in September.
