Softball Game Preview: Tri-Township Tigers vs. Kouts Mustangs & Fillies

Tri-Township hasn't had much luck against Kouts recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will host the Mustangs & Fillies at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tri-Township is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 19-3 to Hebron.

Alexa Latta was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Kouts suffered their biggest loss since April 19, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Westville, falling 9-2. The Mustangs & Fillies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kouts saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Kleckner, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Kouts' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Tri-Township, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
