Baseball Recap: Florence Wins Going Away Against Non Varsity Opponent

Florence had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Non Varsity Opponent on Saturday. Florence blew past Non Varsity Opponent 17-4. The Buffaloes not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since February 24th.

Ethan Hausenfluck was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Terry Parker, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Florence always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Florence's victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1.

Coming up, Florence will challenge Comfort at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Florence is facing Comfort at the right time seeing as Comfort is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they have already played their next game, a 9-3 win against Christian Heritage on the 22nd.
