Softball Recap: Oakland Comes Up Short

Oakland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 6-2 to the Heppner/Ione Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Oakers of the 17-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2025.

Oakland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Heppner/Ione, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Oakland will challenge Riddle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heppner/Ione, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-2 victory against Knappa on the 25th.
