Basketball Recap: Cordova Blue Devils vs. Marion County Red Raiders
Cordova lost against Marion County back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cordova Blue Devils lost to the Marion County Red Raiders at home by a 71-52 margin. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tye Madison was his usual excellent self, going 12 for 24 on his way to 27 points in addition to eight boards and three steals for Marion County. Madison's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Philip Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.
Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Marion County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.
Cordova wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-42 loss against Fultondale on the 6th. As for Marion County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-24 win against Vina on the 6th.
