Baseball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mount Calvary Christian couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christian School of York on Thursday. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Christian School of York earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Mount Calvary Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Stewart, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another was Jonathan Hubler, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Mount Calvary Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Christian School of York, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season.

Mount Calvary Christian will be playing at home against High Point Baptist Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. Christian School of York does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
