Basketball Recap: Negaunee Extends Road Winning Streak to 14

Negaunee put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Westwood Patriots 41-18. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Negaunee pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Negaunee and Ewen-Trout Creek will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Ewen-Trout Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Negaunee likes a good challenge. As for Westwood, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calumet at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Westwood is facing Calumet at the right time seeing as Calumet is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
