Softball Recap: Wonewoc-Center Takes a Loss

Necedah hit Wonewoc-Center with a nine-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolves came up short against the Cardinals, falling 18-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 back in April.

Callissa Keller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Heidi Baker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Wonewoc-Center and nudges their season record down to 6-14. As for Necedah, they pushed their record up to 7-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Wonewoc-Center by a score of 18-4 on Friday.
