Basketball Recap: Belleville West Comes Up Short

Belleville West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Freeburg Midgets and fell 63-25. The Maroons lost against the Midgets in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 53-38 score last time.

Belleville West's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Freeburg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.

Belleville West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-25 victory against Miller Career Academy on the 22nd. As for Freeburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-30 win against Granite City on the 23rd.
