Football Game Preview: Hilliard Red Flashes vs. Interlachen Rams

After both having extra time off, the Hilliard Red Flashes and the Interlachen Rams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hilliard will be strutting in after a win while Interlachen will be coming in after a defeat.

Hilliard will bounce into Monday's contest after beating Fernandina Beach, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Hilliard took down Fernandina Beach 20-6 last Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Flashes.

Meanwhile, Interlachen was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 32-6 to Hilliard. The Rams were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Despite the defeat, Interlachen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Myah Vinson rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 56 yards.

Hilliard now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Interlachen, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Hilliard's way against Interlachen in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Hilliard made off with a 32-6 victory. Will Hilliard repeat their success, or does Interlachen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
