Recap: Hilltop Cadets vs. Gorham Fayette Eagles
The Hilltop Cadets entered their tilt with the Gorham Fayette Eagles with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Hilltop put the hurt on Gorham Fayette with a sharp 39-17 victory on Monday. Hilltop has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Libbie Baker was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hilltop's points.
Hilltop pushed their record up to 10-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Gorham Fayette, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Hilltop will head out on the road to square off against Montpelier at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gorham Fayette, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against North Central at 7:00 p.m. North Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last eight games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
