Football Recap: Ronterrious Atkins and Cam Wyckoff Pace Sneads Defense + How To Watch

Jefferson County came into Friday's contest looking for another win against Sneads, but TyShawn Travis wouldn't allow it. The Pirates blew past the Tigers 39-6 on Friday for which the team can thank Travis, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown. His longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.

Sneads didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ronterrious Atkins and Cam Wyckoff.

Despite the loss, Jefferson County still got an impressive performance from Georondre Pittman, who picked up 101 receiving yards, and also rushed for 45 yards and one score.

Sneads now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Jefferson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

The Pirates will be up against the Stingrays' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Jefferson County, they will take on Liberty County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
