Coronado had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the El Paso Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won nine in a row.

Coronado was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 25-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coronado will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Canutillo at 6:30 p.m. on September 5. As for El Paso, they will face off against Eastlake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
