Basketball Recap: South Bend Adams Eagles vs. Marquette Catholic Blazers

South Bend Adams kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by the Marquette Catholic Blazers 66-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Blazers since December 16, 2017.

Despite the loss, South Bend Adams saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lundon Schindler made all 5 shots she took racking up 10 points plus four steals. Samara Rouser was another key player, scoring five points plus eight rebounds.

Laniah Davis was nothing short of spectacular for Marquette Catholic: she went 8 for 16 en route to 20 points plus seven rebounds and three steals.
