Soccer Recap: Maconaquah Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Maconaquah had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mississinewa Indians a 2-0 shutout. The game was the first time Maconaquah have beaten Mississinewa on their pitch since October 3, 2020.

Molly Berryman and Delight Pier scored both of Maconaquah's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Maconaquah didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Wabash on the 23rd. As for Mississinewa, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Manchester on the 20th.
