Recap: Beaufort Eagles vs. Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes
The Beaufort Eagles lost against the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Beaufort took a hard 50-32 fall against Ashley Ridge. Beaufort has not had much luck with Ashley Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Beaufort lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Amani Cleckley, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
It was another big night for Jahlil Hope, who scored 17 points along with six steals for Ashley Ridge. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Tre Green was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Beaufort's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-6. As for Ashley Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
Beaufort will head out on the road to face off against Philip Simmons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Philip Simmons focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Ashley Ridge, they will be playing at home against Stall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Ashley Ridge is ranked 102nd).
