Basketball Recap: Central Christian Comes Up Short

Central Christian had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a hard 69-50 fall against the Greenwood Mennonite Flames.

Leading Greenwood Mennonite to victory were Carter Long and Blake Mast. Long went 8 for 11 on his way to 22 points and five steals, while Mast went 6 of 8 on his way to 19 points. That's the most points Mast has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jude Harrison, who posted eight points in addition to six assists and five boards.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Central Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Greenwood Mennonite will take on Concord Christian Academy in a holiday battle at at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Greenwood Mennonite is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season.
