It was a good run, but Guilford unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Rochelle Hubs, falling 13-6. The Vikings were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hubs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Maddux Lee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was James Versino, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Rochelle, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Looking ahead, Guilford will head out to take on Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the J-Hawks at the right time seeing as the J-Hawks are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Rochelle, they will face off against Kaneland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
