Baseball Recap: Lincoln Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Erskine Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln Academy). They blew past Erskine Academy 8-1 on Wednesday. Lincoln Academy not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10, 2024 (when they won 12-4).

AJ Giberson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, Jacob Hedrick was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Owen Cotta was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Lincoln Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8-1. As for Erskine Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1.
