Mesick hadn't done well against Marion recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Eagles. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 19-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Mesick's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Cody Linna, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Mesick and bumps their season record up to 7-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Marion, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-5.

Coming up, Mesick will challenge Suttons Bay at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marion, they will head out on the road to face off against Pentwater at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
