Volleyball Recap: Scottsboro Takes a Loss

Scottsboro had lost 12 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped down to 1-18 to make it 13. They came up short against the Arab Knights, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

As for Arab, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-20 record this season. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Leading Arab to victory were Kayden Gronczniak and Lela Hipp. Gronczniak had 15 digs and four assists, while Hipp had nine assists and five digs. That's the most assists Gronczniak has posted since September 2nd.

Coincidentally, Scottsboro and Arab will both be playing Danville the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
