Freedom Area has gone 6-1 against New Brighton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Lions at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 15 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Freedom Area and 11 for New Brighton dating back to last season.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Freedom Area's offense. They came up short against Riverside on Wednesday, falling 20-0.

Meanwhile, New Brighton lost 20-3 to Laurel on Wednesday.

New Brighton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elise Gerrich, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Freedom Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for New Brighton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Freedom Area took their win against New Brighton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
