Volleyball Recap: Joppa-Maple Grove Takes a Loss

Joppa-Maple Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Joppa-Maple Grove's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Zeigler-Royalton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Joppa-Maple Grove will host Elverado at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cobden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Appleknockers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tornadoes surely won't give up without a fight.
