Basketball Recap: Grovetown Beats Lakeside for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Grovetown extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Dj Postell. The Warriors walked away with a 60-53 win over the Lakeside Panthers on Saturday with plenty of help from Postell, who posted 19 points and six assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last four games he's played.

Jerimiah Pierre-Paul was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 11 points and six rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.7% shooting accuracy.

Grovetown's record now sits at 7-2. As for Lakeside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Grovetown will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Josey on the 26th. As for Lakeside, they will be home for the holidays to greet Strom Thurmond at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rebels have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
