Volleyball Recap: Vista del Lago Takes a Loss

Vista del Lago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Poly Bears, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

Vista del Lago was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Poly work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-15, 27-25.

Vista del Lago's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Poly, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Vista del Lago will challenge rival Hillcrest at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Poly is set to face off against their familiar foe Rancho Verde at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
