Basketball Recap: Timothy Christian Has No Trouble Against Dunellen

Timothy Christian hadn't done well against Dunellen recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Timothy Christian took down the Dunellen Destroyers 61-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-50 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Dunellen saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rose Ciccolella dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, Ciccolella also posted a 61% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Malia Auguste, who posted four points and 11 boards.

Timothy Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Dunellen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-17.

Coming up, Timothy Christian will be playing at home against Calvary Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dunellen, they will head out on the road to challenge Somerset Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
