Maranatha pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lompoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Maranatha has already played their next match, a 9-5 win against St. Francis on the 24th. As for Lompoc, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against Bishop Montgomery on the 24th.
