Maranatha waltzed into their game on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Everything went their way against the Lompoc Braves as they made off with an 8-2 victory.

Maranatha got a great performance from Zach Strickland as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Strickland has posted since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, Josh Proctor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Yahir Treto, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Maranatha was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lompoc only posted a batting average of .043.

Maranatha pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lompoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Maranatha has already played their next match, a 9-5 win against St. Francis on the 24th. As for Lompoc, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against Bishop Montgomery on the 24th.
