Baseball Recap: Bishop Union Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Bishop Union barely beat Mammoth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncos blew past the Huskies 23-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bishop Union got a massive performance out of Will Kemp, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Kemp has posted since back in March. Brayden Leeson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Bishop Union kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mammoth only managed seven hits.

Bishop Union's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Mammoth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Bishop Union has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Vasquez on the 18th. As for Mammoth, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-3 victory against Immanuel Christian on the 17th.
