Baseball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

Grant lost against Chavez last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lancers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Juan Ramirez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Damian Gonzalez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Chavez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.

Grant will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arleta at 2:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Chavez, they will be taking part in a tournament against Gardena at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
