McIntosh got themselves on the board against Calhoun on Friday, but Calhoun never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 64-0 victory over the Tigers. That 64 point margin sets a new team best for the Demons this season.

Leading McIntosh to victory were Jayden Brown and Brayden Dixon. Brown rushed for 163 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, while Dixon threw for 156 yards and five touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. With that strong performance, Brown is now averaging an impressive 102.6 rushing yards per game.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: McIntosh was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

Another reason for the win was McIntosh's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jakarri Braggs and Tacorius Reed, who racked up six sacks between them. Braggs also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. McIntosh received some extra help from Malachi Powell, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

McIntosh's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points over those games. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. McIntosh will head out to square off against Millry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calhoun, they will venture away from home to take on Luverne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Luverne's defense has only allowed 11.4 points per game this season, so Calhoun's offense will have their work cut out for them.
