Softball Recap: Belton Comes Up Short

Belton lost against University back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Belton fell just short of University by a score of 7-6. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hailey Schutz was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February.

Belton's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for University, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-5-1.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Belton Tigers take on Chaparral Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Belton's pitchers better be ready for this one: Chaparral has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for University, they will challenge Ellison at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
