Football Recap: Southern Columbia Area Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Southern Columbia Area unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 49-27 to the Wyomissing Spartans on Friday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Southern Columbia Area took the loss, they still got scores from Grady Garcia, Parker Persarchick, Gavin Brown, and Caden Hopper.

Looking ahead, Southern Columbia Area will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Loyalsock Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Wyomissing, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Haverford at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
