Baseball Recap: New Canaan Takes a Loss

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, New Canaan was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Stamford Black Knights by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Black Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in April.

New Canaan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Delicata, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

New Canaan's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Stamford, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, New Canaan will challenge McMahon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Stamford, they will take on Delaware Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
