Basketball Recap: Northside Finds Home Court Redemption Against MCC

There's no place like home for Northside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 victory over the MCC Crescents on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since February 6th.

When it comes to explaining why MCC lost, don't look at Zayd Ibrahim. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 19 en route to 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ibrahim Shaik, who posted eight points.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for MCC, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.

Northside won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bogan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. MCC and Unity Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
