Volleyball Recap: Phelps Comes Up Short

Phelps was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Johnson Central Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2016.

Phelps' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Johnson Central, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Phelps will be taking part in a tournament against Pikeville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johnson Central, they will take on Russell in a tournament on Saturday.
