Football Recap: Dwyer Comes Up Short

Dwyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Forest Hill Falcons. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Dwyer's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Forest Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dwyer will venture away from home to take on Palm Beach Central at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Palm Beach Central's defense has only allowed 10.1 points per game this season, so Dwyer's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Forest Hill, they will head out to square off against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Forest Hill is facing Sports Leadership & Management at the right time seeing as Sports Leadership & Management is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
