Softball Recap: San Leandro Comes Up Short

San Leandro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mt. Eden Monarchs. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Monarchs earlier this season, when they won 12-5.

San Leandro's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Mt. Eden, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

As of now, neither San Leandro nor the Monarchs have any future games scheduled.
