Soccer Game Preview: Kathleen vs. Mulberry

The Kathleen Red Devils will head out to challenge the Mulberry Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kathleen will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Lake Region on Thursday. Everything went Kathleen's way against Lake Region as Kathleen made off with a 4-1 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Red Devils' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Lake Region with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tierra McCullough (2), Rosalinda Turcios, and Domenica Molina.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mulberry, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let Lake Region onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday.

The win got Mulberry back to even at 3-3-2. As for Kathleen, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7-1.

Kathleen came up short against Mulberry when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Kathleen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
